An Evening Of Moët & Chandon Champagnes Paired With Culinary Delights From Rare At Blue Haven, Kinsale

Experience an extraordinary night at Rare at Blue Haven in Kinsale as Executive Head Chef Meeran Manzoor teams up with renowned sommelier Julie Dupouy for an exclusive celebration of exquisite flavours and the finest champagnes.

On Friday 11th October, the venue will unveil a seasonal five-course tasting menu crafted by Chef Meeran, and complemented by Moët & Chandon champagnes.

This exclusive event invites guests to discover the nuances of champagne and the thought process behind pairing five distinct Moët & Chandon champagnes with each course.


Joining Chef Meeran for this special evening is Julie Dupouy, celebrated as one of the world’s top sommeliers. Julie’s impressive credentials include stints at the prestigious two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud and Chapter One. She has been named Ireland’s Best Sommelier on four occasions and earned a bronze medal at the ASI World Sommelier Championship, where she represented both Ireland and the Irish Guild of Sommeliers.

Julie shared her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “I’m delighted to co-host this champagne dinner at Rare at Blue Haven. Guests will have the opportunity to savour five different champagnes from the House of Moët & Chandon, each thoughtfully paired with a specially curated menu designed to enhance the champagne’s distinctive characteristics. I look forward to sharing my stories and my passion for champagne with all our guests.”

Executive Head Chef Meeran Manzoor has selected local and seasonal ingredients to complement the signature style of Moët & Chandon champagnes, known for their vibrant fruitiness, seductive flavours and refined elegance.


Chef Meeran is looking forward to the event, saying, “Each dish is crafted to offer a unique flavour experience, inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Tamil Nadu. While rooted in tradition, the dishes are prepared using modern gastronomic techniques and hyper-local ingredients. It promises to be a truly unforgettable evening."


Book your place at the Moët & Chandon champagne pairing evening at Rare, on 11th October, tickets are €150 per person. The evening has a very limited capacity and guests are advised to book early.
