Commissioned by Fizzique, Ireland's next-generation soda co-created with world champion boxer Katie Taylor and SiSú, the large-scale artwork has been created by acclaimed Irish artist Aches and is located at The Bernard Shaw in Phibsborough.

The mural pays tribute to one of Ireland's greatest sporting icons ahead of what promises to be one of the biggest nights in Irish sporting history.

Known for his bold and contemporary style, Aches has become one of Ireland's most celebrated street artists, creating iconic public murals that honour some of the country's most influential cultural figures, including Sinéad O'Connor, Dolores Keane and Dolores O'Riordan. His work has consistently captured the public imagination, making him the ideal artist to celebrate Katie Taylor and the pride she continues to inspire across Ireland.

Positioned along the Royal Canal with Croke Park visible in the distance, The Bernard Shaw provides the perfect backdrop for the mural, creating a destination for fans to visit, photograph and celebrate Katie Taylor in the lead-up to her homecoming fight.

Commissioned by Fizzique, the artwork reflects the admiration and respect Katie has earned throughout her remarkable career and celebrates the determination, humility and resilience that have made her one of Ireland's most admired athletes.

Aisling McGann, COO of SiSu said: "Katie Taylor has inspired generations through her dedication, humility and determination. We wanted to celebrate everything she represents with a piece of public art that reflects the pride the country has in her ahead of what promises to be an unforgettable night at Croke Park. Aches has an incredible ability to create work that becomes part of Ireland's cultural conversation, and we couldn't think of a better artist to honour one of Ireland's greatest sporting heroes."

Aches added: "Creating a mural of Katie Taylor was an honour. She's one of Ireland's greatest athletes, and this piece is about celebrating everything she's achieved and the legacy she's built ahead of her final fight in Croke Park. This piece was made possible by Fizzique, the next-generation Irish soda Katie has co-created with SíSú. Big thanks to Fizzique for bringing me on board to create this as part of Ireland's Corner, a nationwide show of support for Katie. Proud to play a small part in backing a true legend."

The mural is expected to become a focal point for fans over the coming weeks as excitement builds towards Katie Taylor's homecoming fight, offering supporters the opportunity to celebrate one of Ireland's greatest sporting legends.
