Kombu Ramen & Bao Bar is celebrating its first birthday over the August Bank Holiday weekend, on Sunday, August 2nd, with an afternoon of brunch and beats in Galway's Latin Quarter.
To mark the milestone, Kombu will serve its new brunch menu from 12pm to 3pm, while renowned Irish DJ Jenny Greene soundtracks the celebrations with a special set.

Chef Patron of Kombu, Jp McMahon, said, "It's hard to believe that Kombu has been open for a year already. We have been overwhelmed by the support from our customers and are incredibly grateful to everyone who has dined with us over the past twelve months. We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new ones to Kombu for a great afternoon of brunch and music with my friend Jenny Greene."

Over the past year, Kombu has established itself as a standout addition to Galway's dining scene. Since opening on Druid Lane, the restaurant has built a loyal following for its Japanese-inspired menu and vibrant atmosphere. Kombu was recognised at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2026, where it was named Best World Cuisine in Connacht, and was also listed in Hot Press's Best Restaurants in Ireland 2026.
Kombu will welcome brunch-lovers on Sunday, August 2nd, from 12pm to 3pm. No bookings are taken, so early arrival is advised.
Kombu is located on Druid Lane in Galway, with summer opening hours of 3pm - 9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and 12pm -9pm Sunday.
