Bookies say this September could be the hottest ever

September 2023 could enter the history books as the hottest on record, according to Ladbrokes.

Following Met Eireann’s prediction of temperatures as high as 25 degrees this weekend, the bookies have cut the odds to 5/1 from 8/1 that this September is the hottest ever.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "Things are finally looking up on the weather front judging by the latest odds, and with predictions for temperatures as high as 25 degrees in the coming weeks, we could be set for a very sunny autumn indeed!"
