Cold Snap anticipated as Bookies slash odds on Record Low Temperatures for Autumn

After a spell of heavy rain last week, punters seem to be bracing themselves for worsening conditions, with Ladbrokes forced to slash the odds on record low temperatures for Autumn.

Despite Met Eireann predicting milder conditions this week, the amateur Irish weather watchdogs aren’t convinced and are rallying behind record cold for Autumn with odds slashed to 5/1 from 10/1 in recent days.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “If these latest odds are to be believed, we have well and truly seen the last of the summer sunshine! Despite the rain finally letting up this week, punters aren’t convinced and have been backing record low temperatures for Autumn. It looks like we could be reaching for the winter woollies not before long!"
