Currys poll shows 83% of people plan on buying their other half a gift this Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner choosing a gift for your partner can often be a stressful task.
A survey carried out by Currys has revealed that 64% of people have said that they would buy a tech product for their other half for Valentine’s Day and reflecting the trend of people wanting to gift items their loved one will actually use, 71% would be happy to receive a tech product from their significant other.
Love is online! When looking for a gift, 55% of people prefer to look online than go into a shop, so if you don’t have time to pop in store for your Valentine’s gift, www.currys.ie has an even bigger range of items, which you can get delivered straight to you!
The survey also showed that people are more organised than expected, with 47% buying a Valentine’s gift the week before, 41% buying two weeks before, 4% using the January sales to make their purchase, and only 8% admitting to running out to get one the evening before or morning of the big day!
With the cost of living on everyone’s minds, this is how people plan on spending their money:
• 15% of people plan on spending €20 or less on a gift this year
• 21% of people plan on spending between €20 and €50
• 15% will spend €50 - €80
• 15% will spend €80 - €100
• 20% planning on spending between €100 and €150
• 14% plan on spending over €150 on a gift
