Get ready to trade the pints for Palomas! After the roaring success of last year’s festival, South Dublin’s favorite gastropub, Brickyard, is turning up the heat and extending the party. This year, the Dundrum hotspot is thrilled to announce a now extended, massive 10 day Cinco de Mayo festival, running from Friday, May 1st to Sunday, May 10th.

Located conveniently right beside the Balally Luas stop, Brickyard is transforming into a vibrant Mexican oasis, offering an authentic culinary escape that honors Mexico’s rich heritage and the legendary spirit of the Battle of Puebla.

A 10 Day Feast for the Senses

While Cinco de Mayo is traditionally a one day affair, Brickyard is going bigger than ever by offering an all day celebration for over a week. Whether it’s a mid week taco craving or a high energy weekend brunch, the kitchen will be serving up a specially curated menu of Mexican delights.

The 2026 festival menu features an expanded array of bold, punchy flavors, including:

  • The Classics: Indulgent Nachos. Crispy Tostadas, and Brickyard's famous Tacos.

  • The Showstopper: Carne Asada. Perfectly grilled, seasoned steak that captures the heart of Mexican street food.

  • The Brunch Hero: Huevos Rancheros. Two eggs simmered in a spicy tomato sauce with pinto beans, spicy chorizo, fresh guacamole, and pico de gallo, all topped with crispy tortilla chips.

Sip Like a Local

No fiesta is complete without the perfect pour. Brickyard’s mixologists have designed a drink menu that balances mexican tradition with Irish flair:

  • The Signature: The Moonshine Margarita, featuring smooth Mad March Hare Poitín shaken with fresh lime and agave.

  • New Favorites: This year sees the addition of the Paloma, the refreshing grapefruit-based darling of Mexico, alongside a wide range of premium margaritas.

  • Top-Shelf Agave: For the connoisseurs, Brickyard continues to pour the "gold standard" of spirits, including Clase Azul Reposado and Don Julio El Cielo.

"We’ve always had a deep appreciation for Mexican cuisine and culture," says Brickyard co-owner Erwin Pollard. "It’s food that is inherently exciting and full of flavor. After seeing how much our customers loved the energy last year, we decided to extend the festival to 10 days this year, to give everyone a chance to join the fiesta".
