Emerald Park has announced the return of its hugely popular After Dark event for 2026, giving visitors the chance to experience some of Ireland’s biggest theme park attractions under the night sky.

Running from October 16th to 18th and October 21st to 31st, After Dark will see Emerald Park’s thrill rides continue into the evening, with the park open from 6.30pm until 10pm.

For 2026, visitors can take on a host of attractions after sunset, including the legendary Cú Chulainn Coaster, Na Fianna Force, The Quest, Viking Voyage, Endeavour, The Rotator, Power Surge, Air Race, Dino Dash, Flight School and Celtic Dreamer.

Joining the line-up this year is Swingosaurus, new for 2026, adding another opportunity for visitors to experience the thrills of Emerald Park after dark.

With the park transformed by the darkness of night, After Dark offers a completely different way to experience Emerald Park, from the rush of riding Ireland’s first wooden rollercoaster, Cú Chulainn, to taking on the thrills of Tír na nÓg after sunset.

And while the rides may be thrilling, visitors won’t need to worry about anything jumping out at them – After Dark is a no-scare event.

“After Dark is one of the most exciting times of the year at Emerald Park, and we’re delighted to bring it back for 2026,” said a spokesperson for Emerald Park.

“Riding some of our biggest attractions in the dark gives visitors a completely different experience, and with Swingosaurus joining the line-up this year, there’s even more to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for an evening of thrills with friends or a family night out, After Dark has something for everyone.”

Visitors will also be able to refuel throughout the evening, with food and drinks available from venues including Warrior Kitchen, The Argentinian Grill and Base Camp Pizza Co., alongside sweet treats and refreshments from Boost, Coffee Dock, Yummy Creations and Tower Café.

For those looking to capture their night, ride photography will also be available on selected attractions, allowing visitors to take home a souvenir of their After Dark experience.

After Dark runs on October 16th, 17th, 18th and October 21st–31st, 2026, from 6.30pm to 10pm, at Emerald Park in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

Tickets are available to book online.
