Dublin’s first-ever ice skating trail, Alpine Skate Trail Dún Laoghaire, officially opened on Friday 1st November, transforming the harbour into a magical winter wonderland.
A host of well-known faces attended, including TV Presenter Seán Munsanje, Fashion Broadcaster Rosalind Lipsett, Family and Lifestyle Influencer Aoife Bermingham along with local dignitaries.
Guests skated beneath twinkling festoon lights, surrounded by alpine-style trees, and warmed up afterwards with hot chocolates and sweet treats from Cafolla’s.

Alpine Skate Trail Dún Laoghaire offers a unique skating experience, allowing all visitors to glide along a scenic path of turns and straightaways. The trail is open to all ages and skill levels until 12th January, with Penguin Skate Aids available for younger skaters. Located near the DART and offering free parking, Alpine Skate Trail Dún Laoghaire makes for a perfect family outing or festive gathering with friends, colleagues, or clubs.
