With more people returning to the office during the week, Farmer Browns is also welcoming the return of mid-week working lunches helping people make the most of their lunch break with a varied menu, ample seating for groups and pre-order online, click & collect and office catering options.
Celebrating ten years in business this year, Farmer Browns’ has long been an affordable and welcoming destination for everyday dining in the capital. Whether that’s for mid-week lunches, eating out with children or catch-ups and cocktails with friends.
Staying true to its family-friendly roots, Farmer Browns has relaunched their much-loved ‘free kids main with every adult main’ offer. The offer is available all day, 7-days a week at Farmer Browns’ Clonskeagh and Kilternan locations and at off-peak times in Rathmines and Bath Avenue; all day Monday to Thursday, Friday until 6pm and Sunday from 4pm.
As with all dishes served at Farmer Browns’ menus, the kids' menu has carefully sourced, seasonal Irish produce from artisan suppliers at its heart. As well as the classics, the children’s menu includes healthier options, such as grilled chicken breast with steamed veggies and ranch sauce, penne pasta with steamed veggies and grilled chicken, and a grazing salad plate.
There are also plenty of child-pleasing favourites to suit even the fussiest of eaters, from chicken wings and fries and a mini roast dinner with all the trimmings to a selection of tasty toasties and a classic baby bowl.
On the ‘free kids main with every adult main’ offer, co-founder Finnuala Caffrey says: “With the school holidays ongoing and the cost of living crisis at the forefront of everyone's minds, we felt now was the perfect time to bring this popular initiative back. At Farmer Browns, we always pride ourselves on being a family-friendly value-based experience, so we believe it shouldn't break the bank to enjoy lunch or dinner out with the whole family.”
With more people returning to the office during the week, Farmer Browns’ Bath Avenue restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy communal work lunches once again, with a varied menu, ample seating for groups and pre-order online, click & collect and office catering options.
Open from 9am for breakfast, the option to pre-order online for groups means guests can guarantee swift service and make the most of lunch breaks. Groups of 10+ can also enjoy free coffees when they pre-order. And if there’s time to spare, any guest is welcome to linger a little longer over a Farmer Browns’ coffee and brownie combo (€5).
Newly refurbished outdoor terraces at Bath Avenue and Rathmines restaurants and refreshed interiors across all four locations guarantee a comfortable, spacious dining experience at Farmer Browns restaurants and gastro pubs.
The outdoor terrace at the Rathmines restaurant, in particular, is a secluded suntrap in the heart of the bustling suburb. There you can enjoy the spoils of a refreshed evening menu that offers everything from a light summer salad of fresh strawberries and mozzarella (€10) to a more hearty traditional main of crispy pork belly served plus all the trimmings (€21.90) with a side of onion rings (€5).
Any dish can be perfectly paired with a tipple from the broad selection of wine, cocktails and beers on the new drinks menu at Farmer Browns. Try their passion-berry bellini (€9) and fruity Sangria (€8.50) alongside a recent addition to the menu, the Farmer Browns’ Bruschetta Board (€15); a selection of toasted Bretzel bakery loaf, green and red pestos, tomato concasse, whole roasted garlic with green leaf salad and Parmigiano-Reggiano with the option to add honey halloumi or glazed ham.
Over the past decade, the food ethos at Farmer Browns has revolved around sourcing small Irish suppliers to create its signature style of hearty and comforting fare; Irish, American and Mexican cuisine with a Farmer Browns twist!
Farmer Browns is open 7-days a week at 4 locations across South Dublin; Bath Avenue, Rathmines, Clonskeagh and Kilternan.
