Irish metal titans Primordial have announced a major headline show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on Saturday, 6th November 2027, where they will perform two of their biggest albums in full.
Primordial to perform two landmark albums in full
The Skerries-formed band will bring their distinctive blend of Celtic and black metal to 3Olympia for a special performance centred on ‘To The Nameless Dead’ and ‘The Gathering Wilderness’, with both albums set to be played in full.
Joining Primordial on the night will be very special guests Towards The Sinister, featuring original members of My Dying Bride and celebrating the band’s classic era from 1990–1996, alongside Mourning Beloveth, who will perform ‘The Sullen Sulcus’ in full.
A major night for Irish metal
After more than 35 years, Primordial remain one of the most respected names in extreme metal. Formed in Skerries in 1991, the band have built a reputation for combining heavy, uncompromising music with lyrics drawing on both modern and historical themes.
The band’s 2023 album ‘How It Ends’ marked more than three decades of Primordial, and the group continue to look ahead while reflecting on the remarkable longevity of their career. Vocalist A.A. Nemtheanga has spoken about the pride of being able to continue making music, travelling and performing after so many years.
With founding members Pól MacAmlaigh on bass and Ciáran MacUilliam on guitar, alongside longtime drummer Simon O’Laoghaire, Primordial remain committed to delivering powerful live performances without compromise.
