The festive season is on its way, and Luggwoods is getting ready to welcome families back to the woods for Christmas 2026. This year, Lapland at Luggwoods invites visitors to follow a twinkling woodland trail, meet familiar characters and climb aboard the Luggwoods Express on a journey to Santa Claus Village, tucked among the trees above the lights of Dublin.
Running from 22nd November to 23rd December 2026, the outdoor Christmas experience promises a festive family adventure filled with woodland magic, a visit to Mrs Claus’s cosy cabin and a personal meeting with Santa in his warm lodge.
What to expect at Lapland at Luggwoods
The journey begins on the Twinkling Trail, where families can meet the characters and post their letters to Santa. Next, it is all aboard the Luggwoods Express for a trip through the forest to Santa Claus Village.
Once there, families can visit Mrs Claus’s cabin before meeting Santa himself. Every family gets a personal visit with Santa, and each child receives a special present to take home.
There are a few extra treats included too, with free hot chocolate and a teacup ride helping to round out the festive outing.

Lapland at Luggwoods runs from 22nd November until 23rd December 2026. Visitors should allow around two and a half hours for the experience. Luggwoods is located at The Lugg, Saggart, County Dublin.
