Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Father’s Day is this coming Sunday, June 20th, and as much as we all love the Dad’s and Father figures in our lives, we tend to find it hard to buy for them sometimes, and often leave it late picking up a gift.

So, here's a few gift ideas that 'the Auld fella' might like..

Alcohol; always a good place to start, right? Whiskey has so much to offer, from Father’s Day bottles, to Distillery Tours, there’s something for every Whiskey drinking Dad out there.

Teeling Whiskey have the perfect bottle of Whiskey for Father’s Day, their Distillery Exclusive Irish Virgin Oak Cask with Father’s Day labelling, accompanied by a Teeling Branded 'World’s Best Dad' Glencairn glass (€70, available for Click and Collect at Teeling's Distillery in Dublin until 19th June) Distillery Tours can also be booked on their website, perfect for a day out. Visit TeelingWhiskey.com for more details.

Whiskey Gift is a unique online service, where Whiskey fans can create and customise their own bottle of Whiskey, and name it. This is a great service and a lot of fun for a whiskey fan. Digital Gift Cards are available here

WhiskeyCraft.ie have an excellent range of gifts such as Hip Flasks, Tea Lights and Prints. Also mini Barrels, Wall Clocks and other furnishings. Definitely worth a look around their website, and if you'd rather let him choose something himself, an e-voucher is also an option.

Speaking of vouchers, the likes of Dublin Liberties Distillery offer e-vouchers on their website, let him choose his own bottle if you're not exactly sure what kind of Whiskey he likes.

For the non Whiskey drinker, Aldi have an Award Winning range of beers on offer, with IPA's, Pale Ales, Stouts etc from as little as €1.79, a selection of these beers would definitely bag some brownie points.

For something different altogether, and a great Irish product, is Coole Swan. A beautiful Cream Liqueur made with White Chocolate, Irish Whiskey & Cream. Available to pick up in Tesco & SuperValu amongst other stockists.

Steering away from Alcohol, you can't go wrong with personal care products. Instead of going with the popular deodorant sets, give some of these a try.

Dr Bronner’s have a fantastic range of organic and fair trade certified products such as shaving soaps, bar soaps, and gift sets. The Pure Castile soaps will clean pretty much anything, so if he wants to use it to clean his Golf Clubs, Motorbike or hard worked fingers this is the perfect gift. Available health stores and selected pharmacies nationwide and can also be purchased online at www.healthybuzz.ie

Kennedy & Co by Darren Kennedy have a whole host of fantastic grooming products, some of their best sellers include their Hydrating Beard Oil, Daily Moisturiser with SPF 20 and their game changing Matte Hair Clay. Stocked in selected pharmacies nationwide and Dunnes Stores, all very reasonably priced.

Say it with Donuts.. if they're good enough for Homer Simpson, right!?

The Rolling Donut have created the Dad Bod, a box of 6 sourdough Donuts and a 350g bag of Coffee Beans for €24, available to order for delivery over the weekend on their website.

Off Beat Donuts also have a Father’s Day box, the Father’s Day Six featuring a selection of Donuts with edible Sugar Discs made especially for Dad. Available to order for delivery this weekend only, on the website

If all else fails, you can't go wrong with a gift card! For the Golfing Dad’s Halpenny Golf have e-vouchers available on their Website, or can be purchased instore.

An Odeon Cinema gift card, or a Voucher for his favourite local Coffee place may also be a good option, he can treat himself at his own leisure then.

Anyway, just a few gift ideas, that will hopefully help you out for the last minute purchase.. hope it helps!
