Love is in the Air at Emerald Park Zoo This Valentine’s

Love is in the air at Emerald Park this Valentine’s week, as the theme park and zoo celebrates the season with feel-good experiences designed to be enjoyed together. From relaxed daytime zoo walks to nostalgic retro drive-in movies, Emerald Park is offering guests plenty of ways to put a little extra fun into Valentine’s.

To mark Valentine’s and embracing the season of love, animals at Emerald Park Zoo were treated to specially prepared, love-inspired enrichment created with care by the park’s dedicated zoo keepers. Home to over 250 animals those enjoying the valentine’s surprise were alpacas -Mouse and Lab, Amur leopard - Hugo, Hornbill - Albert and a lively group of meerkats including Grayson, Wayne and Jason. Members of the zoo’s silvery marmoset family, including Honey, Dante, Gerlat and their baby twins, also enjoyed the love inspired enrichment!

As part of this year’s Valentine’s celebrations, Emerald Park is also hosting a Retro Drive-In Movie experience. Taking place on Friday and Saturday, 14th February, guests can choose from three much-loved films, Toy Story at 3:00pm, The Greatest Showman at 6:00pm, or Dirty Dancing at 9:00pm. Movie-goers can enjoy the experience from the comfort of their own car, with hot food, snacks and drinks available on site throughout the evening.

For those looking for a more laid-back Valentine’s Day idea, Emerald Park’s recently announced Zoo Walk offers the perfect daytime date. Available on select dates throughout February and March, including Valentine’s Day itself, Zoo Walk give couples, friends and families the chance to enjoy a peaceful stroll through the zoo and playgrounds, making it an ideal way to spend quality time together in a relaxed outdoor setting. Priced at €10, guests attending Zoo Walks can avail of €10 off Return All Access tickets for any visit to Emerald Park in 2026, giving families even more value and the perfect reason to return later in the year.

Emerald Park will fully open on Saturday, 21st of March where guests will be able to enjoy over 45 thrill-seeking rides and attractions.
