Lucky Tortoise – Now Open in Temple Bar

Lucky Tortoise will open a second Dublin location tomorrow (Thursday, 28th April) at Adsills Row in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar.

On a small street running from Fleet Street to Wellington Quay, Lucky Tortoise is now open every day from 5pm to 11pm. Well established on Aungier Street, Lucky Tortoise has won fans for it's modern Dim Sum, made fresh and served family style. Owner John Ennis and Head Chef Stephen Ryan have created a menu that is strongly influenced by Cantonese cuisine with accents of Japanese and Korean flavours too. Head Chef Stephen Ryan, formerly of Doolally and Locks, said: “Dim Sum translates as ‘touch heart’ and that is what we hope to do with every dish we serve. This is an exciting opportunity to invite new guests to our tables and entertain them with great food and an atmosphere to match. We want to be inclusive, so by making our own Dim Sum we can cater for Vegans and Coeliacs too.”

The stylish new space will allow the Lucky Tortoise ethos to further expand. Sustainability is key, with minimal waste and a low carbon footprint. The 48 seater restaurant was designed by Jordan Ralph, who has created a unique and memorable space inspired by his knowledge of Cantonese Dim Sum Houses, Tokyo Plant shops and Korean Galbi restaurants. Lucky Tortoise is best enjoyed with the ‘All In Menu’ which features all the dishes on the menu, served family style. Priced €28 per person, it’s available as Vegetarian and Vegan too. But feel free to roam across the menu, either to supplement your ‘All In’ or for a lighter meal.  With small plates and sides, you can enjoy creating your own Lucky Tortoise experience.

All In Menu - €28 per person • Miso Soup • Banchan • Jasmine Rice • Okonomiyaki • Chive & Scallion Pajeon • Panchetta Potstickers • Pork Sui Mai • Roast Sweet Potato & Miso Dumpling • Sichuan Aubergine & Sesame Dumpling • Silken Tofu
