Football manager Mick McCarthy could be set for an unexpected stint in the jungle this year, according to the latest odds from Ladbrokes.

The former Republic of Ireland and Wolves boss has sent the rumour mill into overdrive and the bookies have added him to the betting at 2/1 to appear on the hit ITV show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here later this year.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "Rumours are swirling on social media that Mick McCarthy is swapping the dugout for the jungle and following a flurry of bets overnight, he is just 2/1 to join the line-up.”
