O’Driscoll's Irish Whiskey raises a glass to wish it's newest Ambassador Max Hart the best of luck as he embarks on the TCR Asia Series

O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey proudly supports ambassador Max Hart, the rising 23 year old professional racing star from County Wicklow as he takes on the TCR Asia series. Rooted in bravery and adventure, O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey looks forward to following his daring escapades across the race tracks.

The TCR Asia series begins at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit from 3rd to 5th May, with another race at the same venue from 7th to 9th June. Following that, the series moves to Thailand's Chang International Circuit for two events in August and September, then heads to China for the penultimate race at the Ningbo International Speedpark. The series concludes at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix from 14th to 17th November, where Max aims to repeat his 2023 triumph in front of a full crowd.

The TCR Asia Series is part of the global Touring Car Racing (TCR) ecosystem, focusing on compact, high performance cars. In the world of motorsport, it occupies a position that appeals to semi-professional drivers, bridging the gap between club-level racing and higher-profile international touring car series. There are various national TCR championships and beyond these, there are continental championships, such as TCR Asia, TCR Europe, and TCR South America. The highest level of competition is the TCR World Tour, which is Max’s ultimate goal.

Max shared his excitement saying: "My goal is to win the championship this year, and I genuinely believe it's achievable. I'll be driving the Hyundai Elantra N TCR again, which gives me a solid understanding of the car and some tracks. The organizers anticipate around 30 cars on the grid, and there will be three of us from Z-Speed. The top five finishers will secure a spot at the Macau Grand Prix in November, and I'm looking forward to returning there!”

After a 4-year hiatus due to Covid-19, TCR Asia is set to return with not one, but two, Pan-Asian championships. The TCR Asia Series, first established in 2015 at the birth of the TCR category, will make its long-awaited return, with a five-event calendar running to its usual format of two sprint races per weekend.

Michael Stafford, owner of Stafford Bonded and MD of O'Driscolls Irish Whiskey said “We are thrilled to sponsor Max Hart as he takes on the TCR Asia Series. Max embodies the daring and adventurous spirit of O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey and we look forward to supporting him throughout his brave endeavours this year.”

Max will document and showcase his journey throughout the series on his social media. He is the most followed Irish Racing Driver with a fanbase of over 100k followers on TikTok and 36.9k followers on Instagram.
