Odds Slashed on Wettest October EVER as Bookies experience flood of bets

October could make the weather history books for all the wrong reasons, according to leading bookmaker Ladbrokes.
Having been a 3/1 shot earlier this week, the bookies has now slashed the odds on October being the wettest ever to even money (1/1), following Met Éireann’s latest yellow weather warning for heavy rain.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: ''October looks to be off to a wet and windy start and it seems punters aren’t holding out much hope that things will improve, as we have been inundated with bets on next month being the wettest ever. It looks like we have well and truly seen the last of the sunny spells!''
