Portmarnock Hotel Take Away - Restaurant quality dining at home
Take away food from your favourite bar/restaurant, it's all the rage.. and understandably so. Not only are we treating ourselves to the top notch food we used to get on that long distant dining out occasion, but we're also supporting these guys while we wait to once again return for the full dining experience.
The Portmarnock Hotel (County Dublin)
We ordered take out at the weekend from one of our favourite spots, The Portmarnock & Golf Links. This was not the first nor will it be the last time to order food from here. The food has always been top notch at the Portmarnock Hotel, so during the past few months of restrictions etc, it has been a joy to be able to make an order for the weekend and collect the same quality food we look forward to getting back in to enjoy, in the hopefully not too distant future.
Portmarnock Hotel's take away service is available Monday - Sunday, 12 noon - 8pm, so you can enjoy restaurant quality dining in the comfort of your own home.
Ordering is simple, just check out their menu (below) and call 083 3672648 for pre-orders. Pay by card over the phone and select an allocated collection time slot. Head to the Hotel for your pick up time and just follow the signs, it's all very easy flowing, safe and friendly.
Collection is located at the Snug Bar, just beside the Golf Shop, very easily accessible from the car park. Inside the door you are greeted by the ever friendly staff, and there is a station set up for hand sanitisation. Minimal waiting time and you're on your way with your meal.
The take away food here is always piping hot, it's well packaged in separate containers, and always a very generous portion, real value for money!
I absolutely love their Fish & Chips, genuinely one of the best I've ever had. It's a Crispy Battered Atlantic Hake and nothing short of 10/10 deliciousness. Served with hand cut chips and peas, with tartare sauce on the side (it stayed on the side for me, I'm sure their sauce is awesome.. just not for me, I don’t eat tartare sauce!)
This week's Sunday Lunch was a Roasted Black Angus Sirloin of Beef served with Roasted Potatoes, Honey Glazed Root and Seasonal Vegetables, Yorkshire Puddings, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy. Beautiful, well cooked, homely food. The Gravy is served on the side also, so no oversoaked food by the time you get home.
