The PTSB Ideal Home Show takes place at RDS Simmonscourt from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th October, bringing together up to 230 of Ireland’s leading home improvement professionals and suppliers for three days of inspiration, expert advice and practical solutions for every home. Up to 27,000 visitors are expected across the three days at Ireland’s largest home event.

Whether planning a renovation, creating additional space, considering a new build or simply refreshing an interior, visitors can discover the latest products, services and innovations across interiors, modular homes, home energy, kitchens and bathrooms, self-build, health and wellbeing and outdoor living.

A packed programme of live talks, demonstrations and free one-to-one consultations will give homeowners the opportunity to meet experts, compare solutions and get practical advice for their next project, with appearances from some of Ireland’s best-known names in homes, interiors, food and lifestyle.

With recent changes to planning exemptions putting modular homes and garden rooms firmly in the spotlight, the Build, Extend & Modular Homes area will give visitors the opportunity to explore options for creating additional space at home. From creating additional living space for family members to developing accommodation with the potential to generate rental income, visitors can meet modular home specialists, compare solutions and learn more about the planning, design and financial considerations involved.

Qualifying homeowners can now add detached auxiliary dwellings of between 32 and 45 square metres, while the exemption for certain garden structures has increased to 30 square metres, subject to applicable conditions.

Speaking about the show, Caitriona O’Connor, PTSB Ideal Home Show Director, said:“Autumn is naturally a time when we turn our attention back to our homes and start thinking about the projects we want to tackle over the months ahead. Whether that means creating extra space, planning a renovation, updating an interior or making the home warmer and more comfortable, the PTSB Ideal Home Show brings the experts, advice and ideas together under one roof.

There is so much for visitors to discover this October, from the latest modular home solutions and our new Health & Wellbeing Pavilion to interiors, sustainable living and practical advice across every stage of a home project.”

Eddie Kearney, Head of Retail Distribution at PTSB, said:“PTSB is delighted to continue our partnership with the PTSB Ideal Home Show. Having proudly supported the show for more than a decade, we understand how valuable the show is for people who are thinking about the next steps for their home. Whether visitors to the show are considering home improvements, looking at ways to create additional space or planning a self-build, our team will be on hand throughout the weekend to offer practical financial guidance and support.”

The PTSB team will also be on hand throughout the show to offer one-to-one consultations and financial guidance for visitors considering their next home project.
