Tickets are now on sale for SommiT Ireland 2026 which takes place in Drogheda, Co. Louth from the 10th – 12th May 2026. A three-day celebration of food, wine and hospitality that will bring leading Irish and international voices to Drogheda and the Boyne Valley this May 2026. Named as a nod to the word sommelier, SommiT reflects the event’s roots in wine culture while embracing a broader conversation around food, drink, and hospitality at the highest level.

Since launching in Waterford in 2022, SommiT relocates to Drogheda in May 2026, taking place across venues including The Barbican Theatre, St Peter’s Parish Centre, Scholars Townhouse, and various locations throughout the town, reflecting the event’s growing scale and ambition.

SommiT Ireland is a unique gathering of professionals from across the hospitality sector, including sommeliers, chefs, restaurateurs, producers, importers, and writers, alongside a dedicated audience of food and wine enthusiasts.

The 2026 programme introduces a more expansive schedule, featuring:

  • A series of table talks and panel discussions exploring key issues shaping the industry

  • Themed tastings and walkabout experiences highlighting wines, cider, and emerging trends

  • The internationally recognised food & wine synergy workshop ‘the ZING! Thing,’ developed in the US and accredited by the American Culinary Federation

  • Interactive sessions including the SommiT Style Council food and wine experience and curated tasting events

  • A closing Grand Finale event

Two distinct experiences: enthusiasts and professionals. Tickets are now available for both the SommiT Enthusiast Day (€20) on Sunday 10th May, hosted at The Barbican Theatre, and the SommiT Professional Programme (€299 incl. all 3 days), running Sunday 10th, Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th May. The Enthusiast Day offers the public an opportunity to meet chefs, winemakers, brewers, and producers, and to experience a wide range of food and drink tastings, while the Professional Programme will deliver in-depth discussion, education, and networking opportunities for those working across the industry.

Showcasing the Boyne Valley and Ireland’s wine future:

The move to Drogheda places SommiT at the centre of the Boyne Valley, a region celebrated for its produce and locally sourced seafood and increasingly recognised for its role in Ireland’s developing wine industry. County Louth is now home to the largest planting of wine grapes on the island, highlighting Ireland’s growing potential as a wine-producing nation.

A platform for collaboration and innovation:

Founded in response to challenges facing the hospitality sector, SommiT continues to provide a space for collaboration, learning, and innovation, bringing together diverse perspectives from across the global food and wine community.

Patricia Rogers, co-ordinator of SommiT says of this year’s event:

“SommiT events will take place across several locations in Drogheda, we hope this will encourage exploration of more of the town’s offerings. The whole Boyne Valley is an unfolding treasure; we’re thrilled to be here!”
