For this weeks Takeaway, I'm recommending Summer Inn Asian Food
Summer Inn has been my favourite spot for a Chinese food for the past year or more, so I was very happy to collaborate with them this week for this review.
First up, starters. I ordered the House Combination (A) for Two which consisted of BBQ Ribs, Chicken Satay Skewers & Prawn Toast.
This is a great sharing starter with 3 Ribs, 2 Skewers & 4 Pieces of the toast, good value at €12.50. The Ribs are succulent with a softer BBQ sauce. The Skewers have just the right amount of sauce for covering, and no overbearing Peanut either, great consistency. The Prawn Toast is something I'd never had before, not sure what I'd expected but these are a grade up from Prawn Crackers for sure. Perfectly crisp and just enough flavour to not dull any senses. I would definitely order this combination trio again!
Mains were easy to choose, Summer Inn have a fantastic selection on their diverse menu but sometimes you just want an old reliable to tuck into on a Saturday night so we went for Chicken Fried Rice & the Spicy Box
You can't go wrong with a classic dish like this Chicken Fried Rice, topped off with a helping of Curry Sauce and Summer Inn offer a very generous portion at a decent price of €8.30
Summer Inn's Spicy Box is simply delicious! They have a variation of Spice Bags & Boxes but I chose the Spicy Box this time which contains 2 Chicken Wings, 2 Chicken Balls, Shredded
Chicken, Chips and the option of Curry Sauce or a can of Coke, again great value for €9.30. They also have a wonderful 'Spice Box' and delicious 'Dry Hot Chicken Spice Bag' which are both incredible, I think I'll be back to Summer Inn to cover those again in the future but you should check them out for sure.
