Movie fans have plenty to look forward to this weekend as Movies@ Cinemas rolls out a packed line-up featuring comedy, fantasy, thriller action and family favourites.

Leading the charge is the long-awaited return of the Scary Movie franchise, which arrives in cinemas today, bringing its trademark blend of outrageous humour and horror parody back to the big screen. Alongside it, cinema-goers can also catch the fantasy adventure Masters of the Universe, the tense new thriller Savage House, and a range of family-friendly screenings and special events.

Scary Movie Returns

More than two decades after the original became a cult favourite, Scary Movie is back with a brand-new chapter that takes aim at modern horror films.

According to Movies@ Cinemas, the latest instalment delivers a "ruthless, side-splitting parody" of recent horror and thriller blockbusters, packed with rapid-fire jokes, familiar faces and plenty of references for horror fans to spot.

Whether you're a long-time fan of Ghostface and the franchise's ridiculous humour or simply looking for a laugh, this looks set to be one of the most entertaining cinema releases of the summer.

Masters of the Universe Arrives

Fantasy fans can also head to Eternia as Masters of the Universe lands in cinemas.

The film follows the legendary He-Man as he battles the forces of evil in an action-packed adventure that promises epic battles, larger-than-life heroes and plenty of nostalgia for fans of the classic franchise.

New Thriller: Savage House

If comedy isn't your thing, Savage House offers something much darker.

Described as an intense survival thriller, the film centres on secrets, suspense and a tense race against time, delivering what Movies@ calls an edge-of-your-seat cinematic experience.

Family Fun at Kids Club

Families haven't been forgotten either.

Movies@ Cinemas is promoting its Kids Club screenings, with special family-friendly films and value ticket options available throughout the weekend. The promotion includes tickets and meal deals from €8, making it an affordable option for a family day out.

Coming Soon

Looking ahead, several upcoming releases are already generating buzz.

Disclosure Day arrives on June 10th, while Toy Story 5 is scheduled for release on June 18. Fans of live event cinema can also look forward to André Rieu's 2026 Summer Concert screenings on August 8 and 9th.

Value Deals for Movie Lovers

For those planning a cinema trip, Movies@ is also promoting its Reel Deal combo offers.

The promotion includes a ticket and combo package from €14.95 on weekdays and €16.95 at weekends, with an optional real butter upgrade available.

With comedy, fantasy, thriller and family entertainment all arriving at once, there's genuinely something for everyone at Movies@ Cinemas this weekend.

Whether you're revisiting the madness of Scary Movie, joining He-Man's latest adventure or looking for a family-friendly outing, the latest line-up offers plenty of reasons to grab the popcorn and head to the big screen.
