Aldi’s Easter Wines for under €10

Aldi has a range of fantastic Easter wines on sale this year, and all for under €10! So while we might not be able to go to a bar or restaurant this year, here’s to kicking back at home and appreciating the little things in life!

Treat yourself to a taste of the best and explore wines from around the globe, with a top selection from Portugal, France, Spain, Italy and Australia. There is a choice of Red, White, Rosé and Sparkling with prices starting from just €6.99 and all under €10!

Tom Doorley, Aldi’s Wine Expert commented: “At Easter, as always, Aldi have you covered for both delicious food and outstanding wines, essential parts of our celebration of this special season, as we welcome the spring and the hope that it brings in this challenging year. Some of us will cook special family meals, some of us will take the easier route, but at Aldi there’s everything you need and quality is a guarantee. Of course, when it comes to wine, you can choose with confidence. I like to sum up the Aldi philosophy very simply: our wines taste a lot dearer than they actually cost. As for the range of styles, yet again we have you covered, plus plenty of pairing suggestions. You have enough to think about, so it’s good to know that the wine is taken care of! Happy Easter!”

Wines under €7

Nero d’Avola

A luscious, brilliantly ripe red from the Med, low on tannins, warm and welcoming, this is a wine embrace. Try it with aubergine Parmigiana or pasta puttanesca.

Portuguese Vinho Verde

"Green wine" doesn't mean the colour of what's in the bottle; it's about the lush greenery of where the grapes are grown. Zingy and with a bit of spritz, it's refreshing and moreish. Try it with Thai dishes or sushi.

Wines under €8

Vignobles Roussellet French Pinot Noir

A really accessible example of the classic grape, not just in terms of price but the friendly, soft, fruity style. Surprisingly good with fully loaded hamburgers!

Specially Selected Rioja Blanco

Unoaked white Rioja, very dry with a crisp backbone of acidity, clean and lively. Try it with prawns, and it's surprisingly good with gazpacho!

Specially Selected French GSM

The classic red grapes of the South of France come together in this rich, spicy red. Red and black fruits and herbs too! Try it with a garlicky steak.

Specially Selected Organic Toscana IGT

The grapes are grown without the use of pesticides, fungicides or artificial fertiliser and the result is thrillingly pure and savoury. A delicious rosé fabulous with pizza.

Specially Selected Rioja Rosé

Pretty pink made from mainly Garnacha in Spain's most famous wine region, vinified for fruitiness. Try it with grilled halloumi and salad or prawn cocktail.

Vinho Verde Rosé

A bit of a rarity this pink Portuguese. Think strawberry and raspberry. A summer pudding even. Not quite dry and it comes with a spritz. Try it with a creamy vegetable curry.

Specially Selected Australian Chardonnay

This is New Australia! Unoaked, cool climate Chardonnay with brilliantly clear fruit, lovely texture with citrus freshness and ripe pineapple. Perfect with buttery roast chicken.

Wines under €10

Baron Amarillo Rioja Reserva

Lots of ripe Spanish strawberry fruit here and plenty of oak character too: vanilla and smoke. Absolutely classic. Try it with lamb, ideally cooked pink.

Specially Selected Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore

Think of this as turbocharged Valpolicella, with extra fruit and depth. Dark cherries! Try it with a chunky lasagne.

Castellore Blanc de Blancs

Easy drinking and off-dry, this is definitely fun fizz. Good with Chinese flavours or maybe have with fresh fruit salad.

This fabulous selection of wines and more are available in 145 stores nationwide from Monday, 15th March.
