As the Irish summer sun begins to warm the turf at the home of Ireland’s thoroughbred racing, a familiar and beloved sound returns to the air - the thunder of hooves paired with the unmistakable pop of a chilled bottle of champagne.

This summer, the Curragh becomes the epicentre of Irish social life and once again Moët & Chandon returns as the Curragh’s exclusive champagne partner. From the high-stakes drama of the Tattersalls Irish Guineas Weekend to the refined elegance of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby, the season is designed for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

An exquisite blend of sporting excellence and social flair, a day at the Curragh captures a community in celebration, framing the thrill of the track and testing your luck with the thoroughbreds against a backdrop of flawless fashion and the crispness of a perfectly chilled glass of the world’s best loved champagne. The centrepiece of this social experience is the Champagne Bar, overlooking the magnificent parade ring. Racegoers have the chance to celebrate with Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut, Impérial Rosé or Grand Vintage.

Speaking about the partnership, Elaine Cullen, Brand Director at Moët Hennessy Ireland, said: "Combining high-octane racing with garden party elegance, The Curragh remains the ultimate day out. The perfect race meeting to experience the world’s most iconic gallops in style with a glass of Moët in hand.”

Evan Arkwright, Racing and Sponsorship Manager of The Curragh commented, “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Moët & Chandon as our official and exclusive champagne. We strive to create moments of celebration and enjoyment at the races and what better way to enhance the race day experience than with a delicious bottle of champagne, while Moët will also support our initiative to ensure all our winning owners on our classic race days will celebrate with a glass of Moët!”

Guests at the Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar can enjoy:

  • Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut at €21 (glass), €35 (snipe), €70 (half bottle), €110 (bottle) and €260 (magnum)

  • Moët & Chandon Impérial Rosé (bottle) at RRP €140

  • Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016 (bottle) at RRP €165

Getting to The Curragh has never been easier. Mainline train services connect Dublin directly to Kildare and Newbridge train stations via Iarnród Éireann, with complimentary onward bus service. Or by car from Dublin, take exit 9 off the M50 onto the N7 Southbound; then take exit 12 off the M7. Parking is free at The Curragh and is clearly signposted on arrival at the racecourse.
