Moonpig to pay one Leaving Cert Student's FULL College fee for the year as they begin their Next Chapter

For thousands of students across Ireland, Leaving Cert Results Day marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. It's a day of excitement, relief and celebration, but it's also the moment many families begin preparing for the significant costs that come with third-level education.

Whether it’s a personalised card from a proud parent, flowers from a grandparent or a thoughtful gift from a friend, Results Day is a moment for families and friends to celebrate the Class of 2026 and all they have achieved. To mark the occasion, Moonpig Ireland has launched a nationwide competition giving one Leaving Cert student a single prize of up to €2,500 towards their student contribution for the 2026/27 academic year, helping them take the next step into their next chapter.

While Results Day is a moment of excitement, pride and celebration, for many families it also marks the beginning of the financial realities of third-level education. The campaign brings together the celebration of a significant milestone with a practical helping hand towards the costs that come with what comes next.

It comes as a recent survey highlights the growing financial pressure facing families preparing for college. The prize of up to €2,500 will go towards the winner's student contribution for the 2026/27 academic year, the maximum mandatory charge in Irish third-level education, and one of the first big costs families face before term even begins. And the pressure is real as recent research found more than half of parents believe their child is under financial strain at college, while 70% say their child works a part-time job alongside their studies.

Students are invited to submit a short-written entry (100–150 words) explaining what completing the Leaving Cert means to them and how winning a contribution of up to €2,500 towards their student contribution would help them begin the next stage of their journey. One winner will be selected by a judging panel and announced following the release of CAO Round One offers.
