After two years of lockdowns and long evenings spent at home, it’s no longer about living for the weekend, it’s time to start owning the week! To celebrate new freedoms, Winedown is offering BYOB on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a corkage fee of just €5pp.
Whether you’re looking for a post-work catch up with friends or a cosy date with your favourite bottle of bubbles, Winedown’s chilled vibes and great food make it the perfect place for a midweek mixer.
Located on Dublin’s Montague Street, Winedown has become known for its seasonal inspired dishes and mouth-watering flavour combinations, served up in a funky atmosphere.
Winedown owner Maeve O’Malley (also of Meltdown), has created a cool, relaxed space adorned with contemporary Irish art, serving up elegant tapas-style small plates, sharing plates, exceptional cheeses and delicious dessert options.
The small plates cover a multitude of tastes and preferences with options From the Sea, From the Land and From the Ground.
Winedown favourites include Killary Mussels with White Wine and Nduja (€9.50), Asian Marinated Bavette Steak Skewers, House Rayu and Pickled Ginger (€10.50) and Grilled Halloumi with Romesco and Grilled Courgette in a Sherry Vinegar Reduction (€7.50)
To share, the Chef’s Selection Charcuterie Board (€17.50) is a hit alongside the Cheese Board (€15.00) with a curated selection of cheese from Sheridan’s Cheese Mongers.
So, bring along your favourite tipple and order some tasty tapas style dishes or share a plate with a pal and enjoy your midweek mixer at Winedown.
Winedown, Montague Street is open Tuesday-Saturday from 5pm-11.30pm with last orders for food at 9.00pm. BYOB applies to Tuesday & Wednesday only with a corkage fee of €5pp. Bookings for indoor and outdoor dining can be made via OpenTable here.
