CREEPYTOWN brings Spooky, silly Family Fun to The Helix this Halloween

Families looking for a frightfully fun way to enjoy the October midterm can head to CREEPYTOWN, a new Halloween Panto from TheatreworX Productions, the creative team behind the hugely popular Helix Christmas Panto. Running at The Helix, the award-winning venue in Glasnevin, Dublin 9, from the bank holiday weekend (starting Saturday 24th) to Friday 30th October, CREEPYTOWN combines all the fun and spectacle of traditional panto with a colourful Halloween twist.

Designed for audiences of all ages, the show promises dazzling dance numbers, outrageous costumes, singing, comedy and plenty of laughs, as its cast takes audiences on a spooky-but-not-scary adventure through CREEPYTOWN.
The cast is led by James Deegan as Dorkula, a goofy, lovable vampire who brings plenty of laughs and mischief to the stage, played by the Irish actor and singer who has appeared in The Commitments, Little Shop of Horrors and numerous Helix pantomimes. Judith Mullally takes on the role of Mortabulous, a glamorous villain with a flair for comedy, bringing extensive experience across theatre, dance, cabaret and radio. Emmagene Cooke stars as the Bad Hatter, with recent credits including Rock of Ages, for which she received an AIMS Award nomination for Best Comedian in 2026. Emmagene will be bringing a high-energy, colourful and chaotic twist to the much-loved character.

With daytime performances throughout the run, including three shows on the October Bank Holiday Monday, CREEPYTOWN offers an ideal midterm activity for families with younger children.
Produced by the experienced Helix Panto creative team, the show brings together a strong cast and high production values for a fast-paced theatrical experience suitable for everyone, from young children to grandparents.
Claire Tighe, Director and CEO of TheatreworX Productions, said today “We wanted to create a Halloween experience that gives families all the excitement and atmosphere of the season without being too scary for younger audiences. CREEPYTOWN is colourful, funny and full of music, dance and larger-than-life characters, with something for every member of the family to enjoy.”
The limited run will feature 15 performances, with shows taking place at 12pm, 2.30pm and 5pm on selected dates. Tickets are priced at €22 (plus booking fees) and are on sale now from www.thehelix.ie/creepytown2026 and at The Helix Box Office.
