From the four corners of the country, Donegal to Cork, Galway to Dublin, primary schools are being invited to unleash their creativity as Emerald Park launches its first-ever Primary School Tour Competition giving one lucky school the chance to win an unforgettable school tour experience in 2026!

In an exciting nationwide call-out, schools are invited to craft a fun and imaginative limerick featuring the words “Emerald Park” for the chance to secure a full day of adventure, wildlife encounters and high-energy fun! The winning school will enjoy a complimentary school tour to the theme park and zoo located only 20 minutes outside of Dublin in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, during select dates in May or June 2026, with full access to the park’s incredible range of attractions. Entries must be submitted by Friday, 27th March 2026, and only one entry per school is permitted.

As the first competition of its kind from Emerald Park, the initiative aims to spark creativity in classrooms while giving one school community the chance to celebrate the end of the academic year in unforgettable style!

When it comes to school tours, Emerald Park delivers a day that ticks every box. From exploring the park’s fully accredited zoo home to more than 250 animals to discovering immersive habitats like Lemur Woods to majestic leopards, pupils can connect with wildlife in a hands-on, engaging way. Budding conservationists can learn about biodiversity and animal behaviour, all outside the classroom walls.

Then it’s time to turn up the excitement with over 45 rides and attractions, there’s something for every age group, from adventures in the Junior Zone to adrenaline-fuelled thrills for older students brave enough to take them on including the Cú Chulainn Coaster, the immersive land of Tír na nÓg and much more!

Emerald Park blends education and excitement seamlessly, offering downloadable activity sheets, free entry for teachers and SNAs, and complimentary coach parking making it a smooth, stress-free experience for schools from start to finish.

For one creative school, 2026 could mean the ultimate school tour completely free!

Emerald Park will fully open on Saturday, 21st of March where guests will be able to enjoy over 45 thrill-seeking rides and attractions.
