The sun shone as families, friends and sports enthusiasts gathered at Ballymun United Soccer Complex over the weekend for the first-ever Decathlon PlayDays event in Ireland.
Held on the 20th and 21st June, the free two-day community event transformed the venue into a vibrant sports hub, giving visitors the opportunity to try more than 20 sports and activities in a fun and welcoming environment.

From football, cycling and basketball to archery, badminton, golf and family fitness sessions, attendees of all ages enjoyed getting active, discovering new sports and connecting with local clubs and organisations.
Delivered by Decathlon Ireland in partnership with Ballymun United Soccer Complex and a range of sporting organisations and community groups, the event featured Ballymun FC, Ballymun Kickhams, Cycling Ireland, Lucan BMX, Swim Ireland, Setanta GAA, Tolka Rovers Basketball Club, BGF Rugby, RNLI, IKEA and many more.

Visitors also enjoyed free family fitness classes, sports demonstrations, bike health checks at Decathlon's Circularity Hub, outdoor adventure experiences, competitions and giveaways.
The event marked the successful Irish debut of Decathlon PlayDays, a community-focused initiative designed to encourage active lifestyles and make sport more accessible to everyone.
