Jamie Dornan emerges as frontrunner to become the next James Bond

Jamie Dornan could be the next James Bond, according to Ladbrokes.

Following the Irish actor’s admission that he is ‘cool’ with having his name associated with the job, the bookies have been inundated with support for the Belfast star to take up the iconic superspy role, with his odds dramatically tumbling to 5/1 from 20/1, making him one of the frontrunners.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the outright favourite at 15/8, followed by James Norton at 5/2 and Henry Cavill, who rounds off the top three at odds of 3/1.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: "The race for the next James Bond is heating up once again with this latest surge in patriotic support for Jamie Dornan. While the decision is far from final, it's clear that fans are very excited at the prospect of seeing Dornan as 007!"
