Irish artist, entrepreneur and holistic practitioner Keith Cullen is set to publish his debut memoir, Dear Future Me, a candid account of the experiences that reshaped his understanding of success, identity and fulfilment.
Officially launching at Castletown House on Thursday, 17th September 2026, Dear Future Me charts Cullen’s journey from his early years in Ireland through a successful career in business and music, including time spent pursuing his career in Los Angeles, international touring, recording contracts and Billboard success.
But behind the professional achievements, Cullen found himself confronting a very different reality, including pressure, self-doubt and personal challenges that ultimately forced him to reassess the life he had spent years working towards.
The memoir explores ambition, relationships, loss, illness, self-worth and the process of rebuilding a life around a different set of priorities.

Speaking ahead of the launch, Keith Cullen said: “For a long time, I was chasing the life I thought would finally make me feel successful and, ultimately, enough. From the outside, a lot of the things I had dreamed about were happening, but internally something very different was going on. Dear Future Me came from having to really look at that distance between the person I thought I should become and the person I actually was.”
A memoir told through music
Music is at the heart of Dear Future Me, with Cullen creating an original 15-track soundscape to accompany the book.
Each of the memoir’s 15 chapters is connected to one of Cullen’s own songs, with lyrics from the corresponding track introducing each chapter. The music and written story developed alongside one another, creating a project in which the soundtrack is intrinsically linked to the people, experiences and emotions explored throughout the memoir.
The opening chapter, Fall at My Feet, begins with the lyrics:
You want to leave the past behind. But the future that I see is all black. Not a single light will shine.Pieces won't fit back.
The result is a memoir that moves beyond the traditional story of a successful music career, instead examining what happens when the identity and ambitions that once drove a person no longer feel right.
Today, Cullen is the founder of The Green Room, where his work focuses on helping people reconnect with themselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
His work reflects the direction his own life has taken in recent years, following a period of significant personal change and a reassessment of the expectations and ambitions that had shaped his earlier career.
Through Dear Future Me, Cullen hopes to open a wider conversation about the pressure people place on themselves to achieve, how our understanding of success can change, and the importance of recognising when the life we are pursuing may no longer be the life we actually want.
Keith added: “I hope people recognise something of themselves in the book. So many of us spend years believing that the next achievement, the next opportunity or the next version of ourselves will finally make us feel enough. What I’ve learned is that sometimes the future we’re desperately trying to reach isn’t where we find ourselves at all. Sometimes we find ourselves by letting go of who we thought we had to become.”
Rather than presenting a simple story of success, setback and reinvention, Dear Future Me explores what can happen when a person begins to question the identity they have built for themselves — and gives themselves permission to start again.
