One of the world’s most respected and beloved bars, The Dead Rabbit comes to Dublin for the very first collaborative event with newly-opened Mark Moriarty Studio.

Representing the Ireland of today in the US, The Dead Rabbit has won multiple awards since opening in 2013, but is still just as well-known for its live music every Sunday, over 250,000 pints of Guinness poured every year, a world-renowned Irish Coffee, globally acclaimed first-floor cocktail bar, and classic Irish pub food made with exceptional ingredients.

Mark Moriarty has been chef partner with The Dead Rabbit since 2024 and has worked with them on their Chef Series in New York. He’s thrilled to continue the Chef Series in Dublin now with three exclusive evenings in September in his new space at Wilton Park: “This is my very first collaboration in my new home at Mark Moriarty Studio,” says Mark, “and it couldn’t be a more perfect way to start. I have so much respect and admiration for everything that Jack and the team have achieved with the Rabbit, how they approach telling the story of modern Ireland in the US with such class and intelligence, and, of course, how bloody excellent their drinks are. I’m delighted to welcome them to Dublin, and can’t wait to serve our food and their cocktails side by side.”

The five-course dinner with five Dead Rabbit cocktails will feature Glendalough Distillery as pouring partner, and will showcase the talents and creativity that have won The Dead Rabbit eight Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, including World’s Best Bar, twice, and Best International Bartender for founder Jack McGarry. We are delighted to be bringing the Chef Series to Dublin after two successful years in New York City” says Jack, “Our relationship with Mark has developed from the first Chef Series event to taking him on as The Dead Rabbit’s Chef Partner, helping us bring authentic Irish food to the U.S. Glendalough have been a brilliant partner for this Chef Series and we look forward to bringing The Dead Rabbit’s world class cocktails to Mark Moriarty Studio with them.”

"What Jack and the team have built with The Dead Rabbit, and what Mark is doing here in Dublin, comes from a shared curiosity about what Irish food and drink can be. At Glendalough, we've always been interested in looking at things a little differently, whether that's foraging botanicals from the Wicklow hillsides or experimenting with woods rarely used in Irish whiskey. Mark and The Dead Rabbit have that same spirit of exploration, so we're proud to be part of this menu and excited to celebrate Irish creativity, craftsmanship and flavour alongside them on home soil" added Ciarán 'Rowdy' Rooney, Head Distiller at Glendalough Distillery.

There will be three public sittings of The Dead Rabbit x Mark Moriarty available, each with just 20 guests, at 6.30pm on Tuesday September 22nd, Wednesday September 23rd and Thursday September 24th. Bookings go live on Monday 31stAugust at 11am and can be booked on www.markmoriarty.ie/studio for €250 for five courses and five cocktails.
