McDonald's Ireland has reopened its Mary Street restaurant in Dublin following a major refurbishment project worth €1.2 million.

Located at 14/16 Mary Street, the McDonald's restaurant has undergone an extensive refurbishment designed to enhance the customer and crew experience while supporting future growth.

The investment is set to create an additional 15 jobs over the coming months, bringing the total number of employees at the restaurant to more than 70.

The refurbishment forms part of McDonald's ongoing restaurant upgrade programme, modernising the in-restaurant experience to meet evolving customer expectations. The upgraded restaurant has been designed to reflect the variety of ways customers now order, while creating a more efficient experience for both customers and crew.

Enhancements at the Mary Street restaurant include six double-sided self-order kiosks for a faster takeaway experience, a dedicated delivery collection area with secure locker storage, a refreshed customer dining space, and fully refurbished customer toilets.

Behind the scenes, the kitchen has been completely redesigned with an expanded order assembly area to help the team prepare and fulfil more orders than ever before. The crew facilities have also been upgraded, including an improved crew room providing a more comfortable and relaxing space for employees.

The Mary Street McDonald's restaurant is owned and operated by Franchisee Sean Quirke who also operates McDonald's restaurants in Kildare, Laois, Offaly and Tipperary.

Commenting on the reopening, Sean Quirke said: "It's fantastic to welcome customers back to Mary Street and share this newly transformed restaurant with the local community. We've invested in improvements that make every visit more comfortable and convenient, while giving our crew an even better place to work."

"Thank you to everyone for their understanding while the work was underway. I'm incredibly proud of our team, and we look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces through our doors."
