Already renowned for their ramen, both at their Dun Laoghaire branch, SOUP Ramen, and their latest opening, SOUP 2 in Smithfield, there’s now new menus to enjoy at each location.

The vibe at both is welcoming, with simple good food, but complex flavours. This is ramen, small plates and mains served casual dining style, but elevated with clever cocktails and an extensive drinks list. No matter your dietary preference or palate, there’s now even more to enjoy at SOUP Ramen and SOUP 2 with over half the new dishes available as vegan, and coeliac friendly too.

The classics remain with the signature Ramen (from €16.50) served with a range of styles, personalised with seasonings, sauces and extras, and served with nori, spring onion, fermented red cabbage, pak choi and fennel with seasoned egg. The small plate Deep Fried Kimchi, (€9) a customer favourite, stays on, and is served with green herb dressing and beetroot ketchup.

The stand out new dishes include the small plates Teriyaki Pulled Pork Bao (€6) with slow cooked pork belly, crispy onions, fermented red cabbage and chili sesame mayo and Teriyaki Cauliflower Wings (€10) are tempura batter cauliflower florets in teriyaki sauce served with roast nori and wasabi vegan mayo. In mains, there’s Kimchi Mussels (€19) pan cooked in a chipotle chili and kimchi sake cream served with garlic bread crisp. Crab Roll (€15) in yuzu and wasabi, served in a house made brioche bun.

In all, the new menus comprise of 6 small plates and 6 mains, with side dishes too, of House Kimchi (€4.50), House Cut Fries (€6) with house smoked tomato ketchup and Side Salad (€4.50).
