Irish LBTQIA+ breakout SexyTadhg (pronounced Sexy-Tie-g) returns with the radiant new single ‘Claim My Love’, the latest track to be taken from the upcoming EP Sexy due September 10th.
Released following an explosive start to 2025: main support on a packed out UK tour with The Mary Wallopers, UK and Irish national radio (RTE 2FM, BBC Radio 6 Music) gaining widespread press acclaim (Dork, Clash, Notion, Irish Times, Hot Press, Nialler9 to name a few) and boasting multiple national Irish TV appearances (Six O’Clock Show, Síorstíl), Tadhg is riding a wave of success with no signs of slowing down.
Bringing together big band jazz with a theatrical soul and pop flare, the new single ‘Claim My Love’ is a radiantly upbeat, feel good anthem which captures the musicality and big performance of their live performances through its big production and sheer volume of instrumentation. Layers of brass, keys, soaring backing vocals and a soulful backbone of bass drums and guitar surround Tadhg’s effortlessly charismatic and commanding lead vocal.

Talking about the track, Sexytadhg explains: “No act of self love is more rewarding and fulfilling than setting personal boundaries and protecting your peace! Don't you play with my emotions and then try to Claim my Love.
Its house, its disco, its bright, its beautiful, it’s a daily reminder that your mind, your personality, your vulnerability and you as a beautiful human being are precious and should only be held in the hands of those that value, understand and respect you.”
The upcoming EP Sexy promises an intimate and theatrical joyous yet pointed and striking journey through themes of sex, defiance, and the wild beauty of being alive and queer in Ireland. Listen to it here.
Already hailed across national press and radio including Irish Times, BBC Radio 6 Music, Clash, Notion, Dork, Today FM, RTÉ 2FM, RTÉ Radio 1 and with live performances on national Irish TV including on the Six O’Clock Show, Tadhg has made a big impression in a short space of time. With performances ranging from: The Project Arts Centre stage with their critically acclaimed Fringe show Television, their collaboration with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, supporting two time Eurovision winner Loreen and The Mary Wallopers at Fairview Park, Dublin, Live at the Marquee, Cork, and The Galway Big Top, Galway last month, and appearances at Electric Picnic, Beyond The Pale main stage, and Other Voices have cemented their place as a vital voice in Irish music.
The new EP Sexy arrives after a wave of momentum that includes a Studio 8 session with Ray D’Arcy, interviews with Louise Cantillon and Tracy Clifford, and widespread media acclaim. SexyTadhg was recently named one of The Irish Times' '50 to Watch' and received the Dublin Fringe Festival’s ‘Radical Spirit’ Award. Their bold commitment to the Irish language, queer visibility, and radical imagination threads through all their work, including their upcoming bilingual single Ceannasacht.
With headline shows booked in London, Cork, and Dublin, and major summer slots at All Together Now and Beyond The Pale, SexyTadhg is poised to lead a new wave of Irish music that’s fearless, flamboyant, and fiercely political. The upcoming EP Sexy is due for release September 10th.
