Teeling Whiskey Crowned World’s Best Irish Single Malt for Third Year running

Teeling Whiskey has been honoured as the “World’s Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey” for its Teeling 28 Year Old Single Malt at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards.

Teeling Whiskey were extremely proud to announce that it had been honoured as the “World’s Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey” for its Teeling 28 Year Old Single Malt at the 2021 World Whiskies Awards (WWA). This is the third year in a row that Teeling Whiskey has been recognised as the “World’s Best” producer of Irish Single Malt at these awards. This success follows on from Teeling Whiskey achieving the pinnacle of “World’s Best Single Malt” at these awards in 2019. The Teeling 28 Year Old Single Malt was previously honoured at the 2020 International Wines & Spirits Competition (IWSC) as the Irish whiskey of the year for achieving the highest rating of all Irish whiskeys with a score of 96 out of 100.

The World Whiskies Awards are an annual celebration of the very best in whiskies from across the globe. Presented by TheDrinksReport.com and Whisky Magazine, the World Whiskies Awards are one of the highlights of the year for the whiskey industry selecting, rewarding and promoting the world’s best whiskies to consumers and trade across the globe. Hundreds of Irish whiskeys were considered for the ultimate title of ‘World’s Best’, with Teeling Whiskey continuing to reaffirm its reputation as a world class producer of Irish whiskey by walking away with the top award in the highly competitive Irish Single Malt category.

Speaking on the award win, Jack Teeling, founder of Teeling Whiskey said; “We are honoured that our Teeling Whiskeys and in particular our efforts to promote Irish Single Malts continue to be recognised at international spirits competitions around the world. To date, we have won over 300 international awards for our whiskeys, reflecting all the hard work and dedication that goes into the production of every single bottle of Teeling Whiskey"

"The success of our Teeling 28 Year Old Single Malt follows on from the achievements of its earlier incarnation as a 24 Year Old which was honoured, a first for any Irish whiskey, as the best of its kind from any producing nation. We are excited to be releasing an older brother expression of this same liquid as a 30 Year Old later this year to hopefully build on the success of our range of award winning Teeling Whiskeys to date.”

Congratulations to everyone at Team Teeling, another well deserved win!
