Independent Irish whiskey bonder and blender Two Stacks Irish Whiskey has partnered with dnata, which manages the onboard retail programme for Aer Lingus, to create two exclusive travel retail releases celebrating the airline's 90th Anniversary, including what is believed to be the first straight Irish whiskey available in a can.

Available now on Aer Lingus short-haul flights, the Two Stacks Dram In A Can (DIAC) is a 90ml Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey finished in sweet sherry casks. Designed specifically for travel, the innovative format features a keepsake lid and is priced at €9.50. It is also available as a complimentary option on selected transatlantic flights.

Alongside the DIAC, Two Stacks has also created a 90th Anniversary Commemorative Whiskey – a limited-edition nine-year-old Single Pot Still single cask expression finished in red ice wine barrels. Expect notes of raspberry, strawberry, vibrant fruit and a long, sweet finish. Individually numbered and presented in a commemorative box, the exclusive release is priced at €12.50 and is available only on Aer Lingus short-haul services.

The collaboration highlights Two Stacks' reputation for combining traditional Irish whiskey-making with innovative formats. The company's trademarked Dram In A Can has already proven a commercial success internationally, consistently outperforming 700ml bottle sales on a case-volume basis. Bringing the format onboard Aer Lingus marks another milestone for the brand while introducing premium Irish whiskey to travellers in an entirely new way.

"We're here to show people that Irish whiskey is more than a green bottle," said Shane McCarthy, co-founder of Two Stacks Irish Whiskey. "The Dram In A Can was always built to take whiskey to new places, and there's nowhere better to prove that than 35,000 feet above Ireland."

Both exclusive releases showcase Single Pot Still Irish whiskey, a style unique to the island of Ireland and renowned for its rich, full-bodied character. The category's distinctive heritage made it the ideal choice for a collaboration celebrating Irish craftsmanship and innovation aboard one of the country's most recognised airlines.

Founded by lifelong friends Shane McCarthy and Liam Brogan, Two Stacks has revived Ireland's traditional whiskey bonding model, sourcing and blending spirits from distilleries across the island while creating expressions that celebrate local character, provenance and creativity.
