ALDI has been named Retailer of the Year and Drinks Retailer of the Year for the second consecutive year at the Ireland Quality Food and Drink Awards (IQFDAs), marking another standout year for the retailer at the prestigious awards. In total ALDI took home 65 awards across a range of food and drink categories at the ceremony held at Mansion House in Dublin on 16th September.

ALDI’s success at this year’s awards sees two of its Specially Selected products take home the top honours in their categories. The Specially Selected Irish Wagyu Rib Eye Joint supplied by ABP Cahir was named Christmas Product of the Year, while the Specially Selected Slow Roasted Confit Duck Fillets with Plum Sauce €7.99 supplied by Silver Hill Duck was awarded overall Product of the Year.

Now in its 13th year, the Ireland Quality Food and Drink Awards celebrate excellence across Ireland’s food and drink industry. Each product undergoes a rigorous judging process by an independent panel of industry experts, with products assessed across areas including taste, provenance, value for money and innovation. ALDI’s award-winning products are a testament to the quality, taste, value and innovation across the range and reflect its continued commitment to offering customers high-quality food and drink at affordable prices, while working closely with its suppliers.

Speaking about this year’s success, John Curtin, Head of Commercial, at ALDI Ireland, said:

“The IQFDAs are a wonderful recognition of the quality and value we offer our customers, as well as the hard work and innovation of our supplier partners. Being named Retailer of the Year alongside Drinks Retailer of the Year for the second year running is a tremendous achievement. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to bring customers an exciting range of quality products at great value.”

The results further cement ALDI’s strong track record at the IQFDAs, recognising the exceptional quality available to customers across its product range.
