AMY AUSTIN is Back with New Food & Wine Menus

Amy Austin has re-opened for 2022 with a new food menu and a fresh new wine list! Amy, tucked away at the entrance to Drury Street in Dublin 2, seats just 30 diners, making the most of a small space with a big ambition – to be the wine bar for wine lovers.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm ‘til late, it’s the perfect place to relax, wine and dine, inside or al fresco, with dogs welcome, of course.

The focus is on small perfectly presented plates, from Black Cod Fritters with lime leaf dip (€12) and Hard Hay Crust Baked Potato with sour cream and black truffle dressing (€9) to Seared Scallops with cauliflower, hummus and florets (€14). Already popular is the Roast Bone Marrow, with chilli oil, chimichurri, hazelnuts and sourdough (€12) and the Chicken Karaage with cayenne miso mayo (€12). Graze a selection, or keep it light with Cheese & Meats with chutney and sourdough (€14).

The wine list, recently revamped by award winning Sommelier Morgan Vanderkamer, now offers a wide ranging selection across white, red and orange, representing all major regions and a few niche ones too! Many of the wines are available by the glass, and there’s Aperitivi such as Negroni, a selection of Vermouth and a choice of non-alcoholic drinks and beers too. Morgan commented “Amy Austin offers wines on tap by the glass which is becoming more prevalent as a growing feature on lists, benefiting restaurants/wine bars in a broader range by the glass while also being a ‘greener’ option with shipping and climate change concerns. I focused on small producers by the bottle with a story to tell. The Loxarel ‘lxv’ aged in amphora from Spain, the Heidi Schrock Blaufrankisch/St. Laurent from Austria and Iuli ‘Umberta’ Barbera would be my top picks. Intriguing wines, growing in popularity amongst adventurous palates and a true pleasure to drink alone or alongside a creative plate of food.” Named as an homage to a famous graffitied declaration of love, now famous in Austin, Texas and beyond, Amy Austin is designed for lovers of wine, food and fun. Don’t miss it! Amy Austin is located at Unit 1, Drury Street Car Park, Dublin 2

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm ‘til Late. Closed Sundays.
