Krispy Kreme opened it's 12th Irish shop in Carrickmines today with a joy filled morning as people travelled across Dublin, queuing to be one of the first through the door in the new Dublin 18 location.
Mark Landers from Leopardstown, Kevin Doolan from Sandyford, and Chris Nixon from Dun Laoghaire were the three lucky super fans who managed to win the ultimate prize of the morning, Krispy Kreme vouchers to keep them topped up with their irresistible treats. Loyal lovers of the made fresh daily doughnuts were not left short of joyful fillings as the first 50 customers through the door also received free exclusive merchandise to take away with them.
Those in the queue were kept as fresh as the doughnuts during the early hours with a performance by Dublin-born singing sensation Roe Byrne, strumming up the excitement and keeping the crowd entertained.
Mark Landers, first in the queue this morning said, “I knew today was the day Krispy Kreme opened in Carrickmines Park and I wanted to pop in to get some delicious dozens to treat my work colleagues. I am so delighted to have been first in the queue and delighted that a Krispy Kreme shop has opened up close to me - I might even use my voucher to treat them to a couple more dozens.”
Commenting on the Carrickmines opening, Ireland Country Manager Declan Foley said, “We are delighted to open our doors in Carrickmines Park today, continuing to spread the joy of our handcrafted doughnuts throughout Dublin. As our 12th Irish opening we are thrilled to see those who have traveled to be with us here this morning and soak up the atmosphere of opening day. Today marks the first of some exciting new Irish shops we have in the pipeline and I encourage fans of the Original Glazed to keep their eyes peeled during the weeks ahead.”
The newest location will serve handcrafted Krispy Kreme favourites, as well as coffee, soft drinks and shakes to wash down those sweet treats. Customers to Krispy Kreme Carrickmines can also enjoy the much-loved melt in the mouth Original Glazed as well as getting their hands on the limited edition Valentines Day range promising a choc-full of love to customers.
