From May 2nd, ALDI customers can get their hands on Irish Wagyu steaks! Whether you’re planning a romantic night in, hosting a BBQ or looking to get your umami taste buds going, you can enjoy the luxury of a restaurant quality meal at home for a fraction of the price! 

Available exclusively in ALDI as part of the award-winning Specially Selected range, the selection includes succulent Irish Wagyu steaks, including Sirloin, Striploin, Ribeye and Fillet, with prices starting from as low as €6.79. Widely regarded as one of the world’s most superior tasting steaks, Wagyu steaks boast unique marbling that produces a tender texture as well as a buttery flavour profile. The result? Juicy, melt-in-the mouth steak that is nothing short of exceptional.

Sauce Recipe:

For an added wow factor, skip the traditional peppercorn sauce and opt for a fresh and zingy chimichurri dressing alongside your Wagyu instead! This sauce can be whipped up in minutes to create a luxury restaurant feel. Best of all, the ingredients can all be purchased from your nearest ALDI at everyday low prices!  

 

Chimichurri Sauce  

Ingredients  

• 5 tablespoons Solesta Extra Virgin • Olive Oil 

• 2 tablespoons The Deli White Wine Vinegar 

• 1 Nature's Pick Garlic clove, minced 

• ½ teaspoon Ready, Set…Cook! Sea Salt 

• ¼ teaspoon Ready, Set…Cook! Dried Oregano 

• ¼ teaspoon Ready, Set…Cook! Crushed Chillies 

• ¼ teaspoon Ready, Set…Cook! Smoked Paprika 

• 15g finely chopped Egan’s Parsley 

 

Method 

• Put the olive oil, white wine vinegar, garlic, salt, dried oregano, crushed chilli flakes and smoked paprika in a small bowl.

• Whisk ingredients together.  

• Stir in the finely chopped up parsley.  

• Season to taste.
