ALDI has crowned The Wild Wok winner of its Grow with ALDI 2026 programme, securing the Irish food producer a year-long listing in ALDI stores nationwide for 2027. To celebrate, The Wild Wok’s authentic Chinese-style gyozas will launch in 167 ALDI stores nationwide from October 8th while stocks last.

The announcement marks a major milestone for The Wild Wok as the growing brand expands the reach of its locally made dumplings across Ireland. Founded by Vincent Zhang and Stephen Molloy, The Wild Wok is the country’s only producer and distributor of gyoza made locally at scale. The company combines traditional Chinese recipes and production methods with fresh Irish ingredients, creating dumplings with thinner wrappers and a texture closer to soup dumplings. At a time when most gyoza brands available in Ireland are imported, The Wild Wok offers an authentic Chinese-style product that is made in Ireland.

The launch with ALDI will see two signature products: Chicken & Mushroom Gyoza €4.99 and Pork, Prawn & Chinese Chives Gyoza €4.99. Inspired by traditional family recipes, the range brings authentic Chinese comfort food to Irish shoppers while staying true to the flavours and origins of traditional dumplings.

Vincent’s passion for food runs in the family. The son and grandson of professional chefs, he grew up surrounded by recipes passed down through generations. Before settling in Ireland in 2004, he travelled across Asia, experiencing the food cultures of Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan. Throughout his travels, he always returned to one taste of home: his grandmother’s dumplings. The generations-old recipe inspired The Wild Wok with Stephen, combining Vincent’s family heritage with over 25 years of professional kitchen experience and quality Irish ingredients.
