Irish Plant-Based Bakery 'Naked Bakes' just got even More Delicious: Everything You Need to Know About Its Rebrand, Lidl Launch, and First-Ever Dublin Cafe

Irish entrepreneur Aisling Tuck has merged her two plant-based baking brands, vegan bakery Oh Happy Treats and Naked Bakes cookie dough, into one bold, playful and even more delicious identity under the Naked Bakes rebrand.

Founded by 28-year-old Aisling, Naked Bakes creates indulgent treats that are irresistible to everyone - not just vegans. The head-turning new look, featuring bright colours and fun fonts, reflects the brand's mission to prove that plant-based and natural treats don't have to be bland.

From its brownies and muffins to cinnamon buns and award-winning cookies, every treat is handmade in Dublin, plant-based and made with sustainability in mind, proving that indulgence and ethical choices can go hand in hand.

“We’ve been working on this rebrand for the past 12 months, and I’m excited to finally introduce our refreshed identity and focus our marketing on one unified brand,” says founder Aisling Tuck. “While we briefly considered a new name, Naked Bakes perfectly embodies our bold, playful, and tongue-in-cheek spirit. It captures exactly who we are - creating irresistibly delicious baked treats that, by the way, just happen to be entirely vegan.”

The Naked Bakes rebrand coincides with two major milestones for Naked Bakes. On September 19th, Naked Bakes cookie dough will debut in over 220 Lidl stores across Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of a two-week promotion, with a nationwide rollout planned for October.

Additionally, on October 10th, Naked Bakes will open its first cafe at Hen’s Teeth in Dublin 8 offering sweet and savoury freshly baked goods and speciality coffees.

Founded in 2018, Oh Happy Treats has grown from a small kitchen into a thriving 100% plant-based bakery with a team of seven bakers, delivering treats to customers and over 50 cafes nationwide.

During the 2021 lockdown, Aisling launched Naked Bakes cookie dough, crafted with just eight ingredients for bakery-style cookies at home - simply slice, bake, and indulge. A testament to its irresistible flavours, Naked Bakes won gold at the 2023 Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards and is shortlisted for two more at the upcoming 2024 awards.

Naked Bakes is now available online at nakedbakes.ie in major retailers, including SuperValu, Donnybrook Fair and Avoca, independent stores, and over 50 coffee shops nationwide.

The Naked Bakes range includes gluten-free fudge brownies, slutty brownies, muffins, cherry bakewells, cinnamon buns, and cookie dough available in four indulgent flavours: Classic Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Chocolate-Chip, Salted Double Choc-Chip Brookie, and seasonal specials such as matcha, red velvet, gingerbread.
