James J. Fox Dublin are proud to present a brand-new whiskey blending station in their historic shop in Grafton Street. Customers and visitors can now avail of a bespoke blending unit, designed and created specifically for this purpose – making it a unique, fun, and educational experience for any whiskey fan.
At the start, one of James J.Fox's team will take you through the three types of whiskey available for blending – the components are single grain, single malt and single pot still, all at 46% ABV, sourced from the Great Northern Distillery.
You’ll hear about the characteristics and taste notes of each of them and try samples to help you determine what blend proportions will suit your preference.
The final composition is entirely up to you, and you can opt to use any of the three components in any proportion you choose.
Once you make your decision, it’s time to make the blend, pour it into the bottle and finish it with a cork and seal. You can also fill out a personalised label, bearing the composition of your blend, date and your signature.
The price of €85 covers the entire process and a 70cl bottle of your very own James J. Fox Custom Blend. The experience currently operates on a walk-in basis, so you don’t need to book it in advance.
