Katie Taylor's Fizzique lands in Centra as Irish soda brand expands

Katie Taylor may have hung up her gloves after her historic Croke Park farewell, but there is already another Irish venture with her name on it making plenty of noise. Fizzique, the soda co-created by Taylor and Irish wellness brand SiSú, has now landed in Centra stores across Ireland.

A new chapter for Fizzique
Fizzique launched earlier this year as a collaboration between Taylor and SiSú. The idea was simple: create a fizzy drink that offered something different from the usual soft drink options. The brand describes it as a next-generation soda rather than a sports drink or supplement.
The range currently comes in Zesty Lemon & Ginger, Passionfruit & Yuzu, Watermelon Lime & Mint, and Blood Orange & Mango.
Fizzique says its drinks are high in fibre, low in sugar and calories, infused with magnesium and Vitamin D, and made with natural juices and flavourings.

From launch to Irish shelves
The brand has been steadily building its Irish retail presence, with Fizzique now available through retailers including Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Circle K, Centra, SuperValu and Spar. Tesco is currently listing several 330ml flavours at €2.80.
The arrival in Centra comes just days after Taylor's final professional fight at Croke Park, where she defeated France's Flora Pili in front of a huge home crowd. The timing gives Fizzique another burst of visibility, although the business itself has been in development since before Taylor's retirement.
More than a celebrity name
One of the more interesting parts of the Fizzique story is that Taylor's involvement is positioned as a genuine co-creation rather than a traditional celebrity endorsement. Taylor has spoken about wanting a soda she could enjoy without compromising her approach to training and nutrition, while SiSú brought its experience in functional food and drink to the project.
That gives Fizzique a clear pitch: a familiar fizzy drink experience with a more wellness-focused proposition.
What is actually in the can?
Fizzique says each 330ml can is low in sugar and calories and contains fibre, magnesium and Vitamin D. The brand also says it uses natural juices and flavourings and does not use artificial sweeteners. Anyone with specific dietary or nutritional requirements should check the individual can's label before buying.
For shoppers, the flavour line-up is probably the biggest selling point. Zesty Lemon & Ginger brings a sharper citrus-led option, while Watermelon Lime & Mint goes in a fresher direction. Passionfruit & Yuzu and Blood Orange & Mango cover the fruitier end of the range.
Where can you find Fizzique?
Availability is continuing to expand across Ireland. Fizzique's own website has a retailer finder, while major Irish retailers are now carrying at least some of the range. That makes the drink considerably easier to find than it was when it first launched earlier this year.
Whether Fizzique becomes a long-term favourite or simply another interesting addition to Ireland's growing functional drinks market remains to be seen. But with Katie Taylor, SiSú and a distinctly Irish story behind it, it certainly has plenty going for it.
Slán go fóill.
