Paddy Power’s Cheltenham Bunker at The Camden

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power confirmed today that the first 100 punters each day entering Paddy Power’s Cheltenham Bunker, a flagship fanzone in The Camden on Camden Street on March 17th and 18th will receive a flexi ticket to the Punchestown Festival next month as well as a pair of PP lucky pants – made (in)famous over the years by sports stars as diverse as Floyd Mayweather and Nicklas Bendtner, to give those punters in The Camden that extra, eh, rub of the green? In a survey conducted by Paddy Power 36% of Irish punters they would be heading to their local pub to join in on the infamous Cheltenham Roar and cheer on Irish horses (and jockeys). Last year Ireland had 23 winners, one of the most successful raids on Prestbury Park. This year, Ireland are massive odds on at an astonishing 1/12 to retain the Prestbury Cup – a trophy celebrating the famous friendly rivalry between Irish and British trained horses competing at Cheltenham and given to the country with the most winners at the end of the week.

To help punters in Paddy Power’s Cheltenham Bunker there will be a panel of racing experts on hand including Paul Carberry who found himself 14 times in the winning enclosure. Paddy Power said of the event: “Think, pints, pants, pundits and likeminded punters – all standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Festival legends like Fran Berry, Paul Carberry, the best tipsters and plenty of craic watching some of the most courageous horses in the world on Europe’s biggest indoor 4k screen. If you can’t be in Cheltenham, you’ll want to be in The Camden. It doesn’t get much better than this.”

Tickets are available via Ticketmaster or Universe at a cost of €20 per day. For the latest odds on Prestbury Cup betting www.paddypower.com/prestbury-cup-odds
