Tastings, Masterclasses and More at Saltwater Grocery

Saltwater Grocery in Terenure, by Niall Sabongi and Karl Whelan, now offers a Raw Bar Tasting Menu, offering the very best and freshest selection of raw, cured and cooked seafood, aged fish and seasonal vegetable across 12 small dishes.

Techniques such as dry ageing and slow charcoal grilling allow the produce to shine. Currently available to book for Friday and Saturday only, with plans to open on Thursday evening too due to its popularity.

There are two sittings per evening, at 7pm and 9pm, each hosting a maximum of 20 diners, in Saltwater’s newly created intimate dining area. The Raw Bar Menu is priced €65 with the option of wine pairing by Tara Deery for €40. To book visit www.saltwatergrocery.ie

Wednesday evenings offer a range of Masterclasses and Tastings, such as fish filleting, wine tastings and even whole tuna butchery demos. From next month, plans for Sundays in Saltwater are for collaborations with restaurants such as Assassination Custard, Sticks and Hen’s Teeth.
