Recipes to Naturally Aid Digestion..


Acai Bowl

Serves 1

Ingredients

• 1 x 100g pack frozen acai

• 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

• 1/3 cup frozen raspberries

• 1 banana frozen

• 1/4 cup almond milk

• 1 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed

Toppings

• Banana

• Blueberries

• Raspberries

• Granola

Method

• Place all the acai bowl ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until completely soon.

• Scoop into a bowl and then top with chopped banana, kiwi, berries and granola.


Green Detox Smoothie

Preparation Time - 5 minutes

Servings - 1 - 2

Ingredients

• 1 heaping cup frozen pineapple chunks

• 1/2 large frozen banana

• 1/2 cup (125 mL) water

• 1/2 cup (125 mL) coconut water

• 1/4 cup packed fresh parsley leaves

• 2 tablespoons avocado

• 1 teaspoon packed fresh grated ginger

• 2 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed

Directions

• Blend together all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.

• Pour into glasses and top with a little more milled flaxseed.


Peanut Butter and Jelly Overnight Oats

Serves 2

Ingredients

• 1 bananas

• 1 cup oats

• 2 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed

• 1 cup plain kefir

• 1 cup almond milk

• 2 tbsp maple syrup

• 1 cup strawberries, chopped

• 2 tbsp peanut butter

Toppings

• Chopped strawberries

• Peanut butter

Method

Directions

• Start by mashing the banana in a large bowl and then add the oats, milled flaxseed, kefir, almond milk and maple syrup and mix to combine. Then leave overnight in a sealed container in the fridge to thicken.

• In the morning, blend the strawberries into a puree and serve the overnight oats layered with the strawberry puree and peanut butter. Top with some more chopped strawberries to serve.


Blueberry Granola Parfait

Preparation Time - 10 minutes

Servings - 2

Ingredients

• 400g plain dairy free yoghurt

• 2 tsp honey

• 2 tbsp Linwoods Milled Flaxseed

• 200g fresh blueberries

• 2 large handfuls of granola

Directions

• Mix together the honey, yoghurt and flax in a bowl.

• Add ¼ of the yoghurt to 2 serving bowls or glasses.

• Top with ¼ of the blueberries and ½ a handful of granola per serving glass.

• Repeat the layers. Leave to sit for a few minutes and dig in.
