Holland & Barrett, Europe’s leading health and wellness retailer, has launched a new High Fibre food range across its 70 stores in Ireland, making it easier than ever for customers to add more fibre to every meal, with delicious options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacking.

The launch comes as fibre intake remains a significant challenge across Ireland. According to the Irish Nutrition and Dietetics Institute (INDI), over 80% of Irish adults fall short of the recommended 25-29g per day, with the national average sitting at just 19g1.
Newly released research from Holland & Barrett Ireland reveals that gut health is a major priority for Irish adults. Over a third (36%) currently support their gut health by using probiotics, while others turn to fibre supplements (23%), fermented foods (15%) and prebiotics (12%). Growing awareness of the gut’s impact on immunity, mood and overall wellbeing is driving demand for more holistic, food-first solutions.
However, even as interest in gut health grows, getting enough fibre remains a challenge for many, which is why Holland & Barrett’s new High Fibre range provides customers with the opportunity to easily reach their daily fibre intake with delicious food.
Social media trends such as #Fibremaxxing have helped put fibre back in the spotlight, inspiring consumers to look for easy, tasty ways to boost their intake through simple swaps and smarter snacking. Holland & Barrett has seen this shift reflected in customer behaviour, with high-fibre ingredients enjoying renewed popularity. For example, sales of its Medjool Dates which provide up to 7.5g of fibre per 100g (25% of the recommended daily intake) have increased by 19.8% year-on-year in Ireland.
In response to this growing demand, Holland & Barrett’s new High Fibre range has been developed by its expert team of chefs, nutritionists, and product specialists. Designed to fit seamlessly into weekly grocery shops, the range focuses on simple, versatile products such as seed toppers, crispbreads, snacks and baking mixes that help customers steadily build fibre into everyday meals.
Rachel Chatterton, Product Director at Holland & Barrett, comments: "Fibre has always been important to Holland & Barrett, with these new products being added to our already extensive range. It’s brilliant to see more people realise the important role fibre plays in our diets and our gut health. With our new High Fibre Range, we wanted to create a group of products that could easily be integrated into day-to-day life. This really is food that loves you back.”
